Just before this year’s start of Art Basel Miami Beach, my husband and I collaborated on a series of small prints, made specifically to sell at our friend Tom Virgin‘s works-on-paper/print sale. His press is Extra Virgin Press, located next door to the Emerson Dorsch Gallery in Little Haiti.
It was fun working together, and pretty easy. He prepared and made some solvent transfer runs, while I made screenprint or oil-based monoprint runs.
The event didn’t seem to have much publicity, so it wasn’t highly attended, and we only ended up selling one of the works (to an old friend, which was nice!). We did trade with Tom, though (which is also nice!).
